August

Well August has been a month of firsts for Ellie.

She had her first visit from Grandad Bill (Liam's dad) and naturally bowled him over. They got on famously. He seems to have a natural gift with babies or she just loves the added attention - it's hard to tell. Liam's parents have so far been the only grandparents to change her nappy, we're hoping this will shame Aud's parents into some nappy action...

Aud's granny died this month. It was a pity that she didn't get to see Ellie. Aud & Ellie went down to London for 10 days. So Ellie had her first London trip and got to meet lots of Aud's friends. The funeral was in Axminster, so there was a great deal of travelling involved. Once there, Ellie wasted no time in charming other relatives - including various great aunts, great uncles and second cousins...

She had her first restaurant trip, she basically just slept through that. In fact she slept through most of her "firsts", didn't bother open her eyes for the beach, and apart from a feed and a big poo she slept through the entire train journey from London to Manchester.

We find out about her hips on September 1st. We're just desperate to get rid of this damn harness to give her a proper bath and take her swimming.

The month ended on a bit of a low as Liam has been made redundant, but we're confident that he'll be able to find work soon. Ellie is pretty chuffed at this news as now she has 2 parents to dote on her 24/7, in fact we wouldn't be suprised if she was behind it all...
