Well it's been a busy old month for Ellie. She's had lots of relatives coming round to make woo noises at her. She managed to smile at all of them (that is, all except Drunk Aunt Jenny) and only felt the need to wee on the one. She only now needs to meet Grandad Bill (Liam's dad) and he'll be visiting shortly.
Speaking of which, she has managed to wee on every health visitor that picks her up. Naturally we're deeply proud of her.
She also had a visit to the hospital to check on her hips. She's made excellent progress and the harness should come off at the end of August. So she'll be about three months old before she gets her first bath.
If she looks a bit big in the photos it's because she is. We appear to have created a monster baby, her most recent weigh in was at 7 weeks when she weighed 11lb 10oz. She clearly isn't having a problem with feeding and seems to start every day with a ferocious determination to drain Aud of all nourishment.
She has been going round to other baby's houses for play sessions. Not much happens, they just all lie there thrashing their arms and legs around. But the mums get to have tea and compete on who has the most gifted baby - which is always a little awkward for us, because of course it's clearly Ellie. And the other babies can sense it, too.
She seems to be taking after Liam in the looks department, but flashes of Aud do shine through whenever she's cross, irritated or just appallingly distracted. Hmmm.
